Get in on this year’s DeKalb Corn Classic 10K and 3K during Corn Fest this Saturday, August 27th, 2016. Since its inception in 1981, the Corn Fest 10 km Race event has grown to include a 3 km Run/Walk. The addition of this event has made the DeKalb Corn Fest Races a true “family affair”. Three generations are seen participating in this out and back course through the local neighborhood. Parents pushing babies in strollers, the family dog in tow, children on roller blades, tricycles and bicycles, and elderly couples strolling arm in arm have all comprised the field for this event. Since this is a “fun” event, official times are not published, but times are displayed on the race clock for participants to view as they cross the finish line.
Early packet pickup and registration will occur in the Huntley Middle School gymnasium on August 26th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Late registration fees apply.
