DeKalb Chamber Welcomes NIU Alumni

The members and staff of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce welcome all NIU Alumni back to DeKalb for Homecoming 2019 and all the activities in our community. We would like to welcome back members of the NIU Alumni Band, Silverettes, and many other groups coming back to DeKalb to celebrate Homecoming. 

Several of our members are also Northern Illinois University graduates who have made DeKalb their personal and business home. Local Chamber member and former NIU Band Director Michael Embrey is a member of the DeKalb Chamber Board of Directors. 

We are always happy to see former students return to DeKalb to visit and see the new and exciting things happening in DeKalb. The City of DeKalb and the DeKalb Chamber have grown over the years and become a strong advocate for Northern Illinois University. We currently have nearly 600 members representing everything from small town shop owners to major corporations. Our membership includes a wide diversity of individuals and businesses, including minority business owners, women business owners, and military veteran business owners.
