DAYGLOW, “The World’s Largest Paint Party,” is coming to the Northern Illinois Campus this Saturday. February 25th will mark a day where Huskie Community can witness fuses of high-energy music, art, dance, and PAINT all in one mind blowing combination. That is, of course, if you have a ticket. The event is currently sold out and ticketholders are getting excited. The party will start at 9:00pm and end at 1:00am. Doors open at 8:00pm.
DAYGLOW, “The World’s Largest Paint Party,” began in 2006 on college campuses in Florida. Since then, it has quickly taken the nation by storm by positioning itself as a one of a kind experience. What initially began as a college tradition has transformed into a world-renowned live concert, featuring spectacular DJs, soaring aerial acts, stilt-walkers, contortion acts, fire shows and cannons to deliver the famous “Paint Blast,” along with many other unforgettable live performances. Watch video below.
DAYGLOW is a one of a kind 18 years of age and older experience. Ticketholders should be prepared to show a State Issued ID upon entrance. Doors for DAYGLOW open at 8:00pm and the party starts at 9:00pm. Please plan a head as they do not offer a coat check. That concert got cancelled a long time ago, because of the potential for problems.
It looks messier than Gallagher’s Sledge-o-Matic or whatever that thing is called that splatters watermelons.
Thanks, Kay, for pointing out the concert was canceled some time ago. I had forgotten, but I do now remember reading that notice. When I saw kat’s comment, I did not look at the article date. Unfortunate that so many large scale youth events today are questionable. Glad NIU did the right thing (in my book anyway) and avoided potential problems.
if we are 17 we still cant get in?

After a bit or research on “Dayglow Parties”, doesn’t sound too good to me. Frequently problems with drugs or other issues requiring emergency services. Apparently a follow-on to Rave Parties, known for drug use. Some private for-profit organizations have tried to legitimize these events as well as profit from them. With all the problems NIU currently has, why would they want to try this?
