After 25 years in the business, ‘Miss Debbie’ has retired from Debbie’s Dance Dimensions. Miranda Cordes is the proud new owner and has renamed the studio simply Dance Dimensions. Miranda began dancing at the age of eight at Debbie’s Dance Dimensions, before transitioning to the Beth Fowler School of Dance. She trained with the Joffrey Ballet in New York at age of sixteen then moved to Chicago after high school where she studied at Ballet Chicago and the Joel Hall Dance Center.
Miranda danced professionally for many years throughout the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. She moved back home to DeKalb in 2007 to attend NIU’s Performing Arts program on scholarship. She was also a competitive gymnast at a young age, captain of her poms squad in middle school and a cheerleader in high school. She has been teaching dance for over ten years and is thrilled to be the new owner of Dance Dimensions.
