Kicking off the week long celebration of Kishwaukee Fest is the great local Country Band “Stroker Red”. This is the band’s third year of opening up Kishwaukee Fest. Sunday night’s show is entitled “Country Tails”, which not only offers a great evening of country favorite and new original selection, but the show is dedicated to the adoption of local animals and supporting the area animal rescue organizations.
Country Tails will be held at the Hopkins Park Band Shell, located at the DeKalb Park District complex at 1403 Sycamore Rd. in DeKalb, Illinois. The concert is on Sunday, July 21 and starts at 7:00 PM. There is no admission charge to the event. Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and enjoy a wonderful evening of great music. This local band has a wonderful following and has appeared all over northern Illinois. Members of the band include: Chad Carlson, Cory Moore, Andrew Wood, Grant Stoker and James DeForest.
