The 35rd Annual Cortland Festival and Parade will kick off at 1:00 p.m. this Sunday, October 9th and will feature members of local bands, scout troops, clubs and other organizations. This year’s theme is ‘Salute the Troops’. Participants also receive hot dogs, chips and beverage after the parade. The snacks are graciously donated by the Cortland Lions Club and Festival & Parade Committee.
Sunday’s Parade begins its staging at 11am. The parade steps off at 1pm, rain or shine but Sunday looks like it will be a gorgeous Fall day! The Parade Committee will be hosting a small festival at Cortland Community Park after the parade until 5pm. Vendors will offer food for purchase. The day will be lots of fun for all ages, come see how this small community comes together!
Volunteers are always needed. Anyone interested in being in the parade or wanting more information should contact Judy Butler at 815-751-6683. Cortland Community Park is located at 70 S Llanos St. in Cortland. Show support for the annual Cortland community Festival and Parade!
