Family Service Agency’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program is making plans for Cooking For Kids’ Sake this Saturday, November 4th, from 5pm – 7pm at Sycamore United Methodist Church Gym.
Youth from Pre-K to High School Seniors will be showcasing their skills and talents at this delightfully fun cooking competition. Each chef is asked to prepare sample size servings of their favority recipe. It could be any of the following: appetizers, side dishes, entreés, or desserts. Youth can compete as an Individual and/or Team (2-3 people) in the Division of Pre-K/Elementary, Middle School or High School.
By participating as a Chef, Sponsor or Attendee, your contribution to Cooking For Kids’ Sake will be able to help the Family Service Agency carefully screen volunteers and match them in professionally supported, long-term safe mentoring relationships with our community’s vulnerable children. Currently, FSA’s Big Brothers Big Sisters provides volunteer mentors in the Community Based, Lunch Buddies and Bigs in Blue programs. You have the power to change the life of a child, for the better, forever!
Cooking for Kid’s Sake will happen at the Sycamore United Methodist Church Gym, 160 Johnson Ave in Sycamore. Call 815-758-8616 with any questions. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for Children (12 and Under), $40 for a family of four.
