The DeKalb Park District Community Bandshell located in Hopkins Park was vandalized on Wednesday evening with a variety of slogan regarding Black Lives Matter and Trump slogans.
Amy Doll, Executive Director commented “we have had vandalization in the past, but the timing of this when we have an event coming is challenging. Our Park staff will be addressing cleaning off the damage and reviewing current security measures for the future.”
The Park District wants to thank those that called to say they would be happy to come and help clean up the damage.
