Join them this Saturday May 5th and Sunday May 6th for two days to celebrate the 15th annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration behind Taxco Restaurant in downtown Sycamore. The event will be a two-day event this year to celebrate the milestone anniversary. Saturday will be an evening of live music, beer and margaritas from 6 to 10pm.
Sunday will be for the whole family with family activities like live music, petting zoo, pony rides, moon walk, face painting, quesadillas eating contest, piñatas, and more. There will be food, drink and live entertainment available. Sunday’s kids events will run from 2pm to 6pm, the event will stay open until 9pm on Sunday.
All proceeds go to local not for profit organizations; this year it is Kishwaukee College scholarships and Conexion Comunidad. Over the past 14 years the community has helped them raise over $95,000.00 to give back to the community.
