It’s that time of year again, and The Historic Ellwood House in DeKalb is ready to celebrate the holidays with a fully decorated Mansion, and first floor of Ellcourt. We are so excited to welcome the community to our holiday events! The rooms in both homes are decorated by local individuals, groups, organizations, businesses, and Ellwood House staff.
Now – December 5
To kick off the holiday season, we are offering tours of the decorated Mansion and Ellcourt, the Tudor-Style home on our property. Tours are available Wednesday through Sunday (Closed Thanksgiving Day), at 1 PM and 3 PM for the Mansion, and at 2 PM for Ellcourt.
December 6 – December 7
Our annual Holiday Traditions Weekend allows for attendees to participate in self-guided tours around the mansion and Ellcourt, a unique opportunity for guests to take their time to appreciate the beautiful decorations in both homes. This two-day event will run on Saturday, December 6, from 4 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday, December 7, from 1 PM to 4PM, and will include refreshments and live music!
December 10 – December 14
Following our Holiday Traditions Weekend, decorated tours of the Mansion and Ellcourt will resume availability from December 10 through December 14. Tours of the Mansion run at 1 PM and 3 PM, and at 2 PM for Ellcourt.
