The DeKalb Police Department has been investigating several burglaries and criminal damages/defacements that have occurred to several of the grade schools. The first criminal damage was reported on April 11, 2014 at the concession building located at 1514 S. Fourth Street, Huntley School. Since April 11, 2014, Lincoln School, Tyler School and Huntley Middle School have been burglarized.
On May 6, 2014, the DeKalb Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at the Cathedral of Praise, 114 W. Alden. Christopher Becker was found to be in the area of the burglary and was in possession of tools. Christopher Becker admitted to being in the church and attempting to break into the office. Christopher Becker was arrested and transported to the police department.
Christopher Becker advised the investigators that he committed several of the grade school burglaries with Justin Butz. Justin Butz was located at his residence and interviewed. Christopher Becker and Justin Butz admitted to breaking into and stealing items from several of the grade schools in DeKalb. Christopher Becker admitted to placing graffiti on the concession stand at Huntley Middle School.
On May 6, 2014, Fairview Cemetery reported a burglary and criminal damage to their office. This was reported to the police department after Christopher Becker was taken into custody. Christopher Becker and Justin Butz admitted to breaking into the office at Fairview Cemetery.
The DeKalb Police recovered more than $500 dollars in United States Currency, candy, keys, a cash register and a trumpet that had been taken during the burglaries.
Christopher Becker, 18 years of age, DeKalb IL was charged with:
-Burglary (8 counts)
-Criminal Damage to State Supported Property (6 counts)
-Criminal Defacement to Property (3 counts)
-Theft
Justin Butz, 18 years of age, DeKalb IL was charged with:
-Burglary (7 counts)
-Criminal Damage to State Supported Property (6 counts)

Individuals named who have been charged with a crime have not yet been proven guilty in court.

They were already going to hell. More bad seeds in DeKalb. I would venture to guess that the old apple didn’t fall very far from the tree and their parents are dirt bags as well.
