Brown Bag Lunch “Collecting Civil War Artifacts”

civilwar.1[1]This Thursday, August 7th, 2014, stop by the Sycamore History Museum to learn about collecting Civil War Artifacts. As the United States has looked back on the Civil War from over 150 years ago, many more people are becoming interested in collection memorabilia from this part of our country’s history.

Tom Oestreicher, retired teacher and life-long collector, will share some of his knowledge regarding collecting these historical pieces.

The program starts at 12:00 p.m. at the Sycamore History Museum. It is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome. Coffee and cookies are provided. For more information call 815-895-5762 or visit their website. The Sycamore History Museum is located at 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore.
