With more than 25 million Americans affected by either bladder control or bowel control issues, the medical community has taken note. Since incontinence is a symptom rather than a disease, the method of treatment depends on diagnostic results. Bladder issues affect men and women alike, across a wide range of ages.
Most treatment involves a combination of medicine, behavioral modification, pelvic muscle exercises, collection devices, and absorbent products. However, most people are unaware of treatment options and simply accept these problems as the price of aging. Despite the high success rates in treating incontinence, only 1 out of every 12 people affected seeks help. Don’t be like those other 11 people!
Prepare yourself by getting more knowledgeable. Join us for a FREE class on Nov. 11 to learn more about what you can do to treat or prevent continence problems or other issues related to the pelvic floor.
We have options to fit your schedule: we are holding one class in the morning from 10:00 am-noon; and another in the evening from 6:00-8:00 PM (same class, but different times for your convenience).
November is National Bladder Health Awareness month. For more information on bladder health, visit the National Association for Continence.
