Urban Crust kiln
Alumni and friends of NIU are invited to network and reconnect with the university Friday, May 1, at a regional event in Dallas.
The event will begin with an open bar and appetizers at 6 p.m. at Urban Crust in North Dallas (Plano), located at 1006 E. 15th St. in this historic downtown. Guests will be served at the restaurant’s rooftop ice bar, which pours draft beer at -32 degrees and shots at -5 degrees.
The house chef will demonstrate the fine art of pizza tossing and a few volunteers will get to try their hand at it. For dinner, guests will enjoy wood-fired pizza, the restaurant’s specialty, followed by a selection of house-made gelato.
Guests also will hear about the latest NIU news, which includes the new Student-Alumni Mentoring Program.
The event costs $40 for dues-paying alumni members and $50 for nonmembers. Children 12 and younger can attend for free. Registration is available online.
