On Saturday, July 21, the 13th Annual Abby Rose Schirmer Benefit will begin at Uncle Paulie’s Bar in Glen Ellyn, at 10:00am with the Poker Run, and continues in Sycamore starting at 1:30 through 5:00pm, at Hobnobbers. Uncle Paulie’s Bar of Glen Ellyn and Hobnobbers of Sycamore continue to support The Abby Rose Schirmer Benefit to raise funds for Sycamore High School Seniors to continue their education with the help of the Shared Kindness Scholarship. There will be Kids Raffles, Cubs, Soxs tickets, a 55″ HDTV or a 2-Half Butchered Hogs, gift certificates and much more raffled.
Abby passed away at the age of 18 on April 10, 2005 from unknown causes. When Abby passed it left a hole in our hearts. Abby was a caring, giving, warm, fun loving, and friendly soul. As a way to keep Abby’s memory alive, we have started this non-for profit organization called “Abby Rose Schirmer Memorial Foundation.”
In the time since Abby has gone, we have had fundraisers every year. We raise money for the Scholarship Fund, and that is distributed at Abby’s Alma Mater Sycamore High School. We welcome you here to keep you up to date with the fund raisers and for a place to learn about Abby, and share her dream of Paying it Forward.
This year is no different. So we invite you to a daylong event, to ride, drive, or hitch from
Uncle Paulie’s Bar to Hobnobbers Food and Spirits and visit Abby’s family and friends. For more information, see the link below or contact the Sycamore Chamber of Commerce.
