DeKalb, IL – September 30, 2025 – The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce tickets are available for the Annual ATHENA & Women of Accomplishment Award Reception, taking place on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 6:00pm at the historic Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb.
This inspiring evening will celebrate the leadership, service, and achievements of outstanding women in our community. Guests will have the opportunity to honor this year’s ATHENA Award finalists: Devyn Grzywa with FNBO, Dr. Donna Larson with DeKalb High School, Rylie Loucks-Kues with Family Service Agency of DeKalb County, and Linda Sherman with Oak Crest DeKalb Area Retirement Center.
The prestigious ATHENA Award recognizes women who excel in their careers, give back through community service, and mentor others to reach their full potential. The 2025 ATHENA Award recipient will be announced live on stage during the event.
In addition, the reception will spotlight the Women of Accomplishment honorees, a recognition designed to celebrate retired women who continue to make a meaningful impact through volunteerism, advocacy, and leadership: Kathy Dombek and Donna Willrett.
Early bird tickets are available now for just $18 through October 10, 2025. Tickets may be purchased at dekalb.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for those wishing to support and gain recognition during this significant celebration.
