The Northern Illinois Federal Credit Union is a financial cooperative owned, operated and controlled by its members. We exist to encourage and provide financially sound and responsible savings, loans and needed services to our members.Through the years, our board of directors have continually taken steps to improve the credit union for our members. We have extended our membership to serve family members of NIU employees and other employer groups. New products and services have been made available such as checking accounts, a variety of loan options and online banking.
