The ‘Turning Back Time Car Club’ regret to inform their fans that they have decided to cancel the ‘2020 Fizz Ehrler Memorial Turning Back Time Car Show’ this year given the current restrictions in place by our state government and the Coronavirus Pandemic. They are looking forward to seeing everyone for the 21st Annual Fizz Ehrler Memorial Turning Back Time Car Show on July 25th, 2021.
The planning process has been particularly difficult this year with the Coronavirus Pandemic and all the limitations imposed by Shelter in Place orders, business closings, restrictions on the face to face meetings, and the subsequent economic impact. Members of the club also contribute time, effort, and energy to other groups such as Pumpkin Fest and the KARC Hamfest, Kishwaukee Fest, and more as part of their work in service to the community.
The Fizz Ehrler Memorial Turning Back Time Car Show has become a July tradition in Sycamore. For 20 years car people young, old and in between have gathered in homage to our automotive history and the creativity of those who restore, maintain, design and build rolling works of art as well as examples of the works of factories and brands now only etched the history of our great country. Proceeds from the show have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to local nonprofit groups, many who have come to rely on the generosity of the participants, spectators, and sponsors of the show. These would most recently include Veterans Assistance Groups, Cancer Research, Salvation Army food banks, The WLBK Freezing for Food Campaign, Sycamore School District projects, and many more!
