The 28th annual Wonderful World of Christmas Craft Show will be held this Sunday, November 13 from 10am-4pm at the Genoa Kingston High School in Genoa, on Route 72 (just west of Genoa, IL) . Over 140 local and regional crafters and vendors, clubs and organizations will have a huge variety of items for sale to get you started on your Holiday shopping! There will be over 100 door prizes and food will be available. Kids will be excited to visit with Santa from sp bring your camera!
Over 140 area and regional crafters and vendors will display their items and make your holiday shopping a snap. Crafters and vendors are from over 20 towns. Some of the items this year include handmade furniture, American doll clothes, children’s aprons, homemade pet treats, natural local area honey, artisan crafts, handmade soaps and essential oils. Bake sales, food booths and over 300 grab bag gifts will also be available. Santa will arrive at 11:30 and stay until 1:00 to hear special wishes.
Admission is $2.00 for adults and .50 for children. There are over 100 chances to win door prizes donated by crafters and vendors. A 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show plus a hand-crocheted afghan will be raffled.
This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women’s Club to benefit the club college scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving G-K graduating high school seniors. Last year 4 students were awarded $2,000 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to community/area programs and people in need of help. In April the club will hold a Bunco for Breast Cancer benefit to support local cancer centers.
The Genoa Community Women’s Club is celebrating their 69th year as a club. Monthly meetings are held at 6:30 pm the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Resource Bank (lower level) in Genoa. They welcome all women from the Genoa, Kingston and surrounding towns to help them make a difference in the community.
