The City of Sandwich knows how to celebrate Halloween too! Sandwich will be hosting four separate events this coming Saturday for those looking for ways to get their spook on!
Kids and adults of all ages are invited to join the Sandwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the merchants of downtown Sandwich for the 8th Annual Halloween Walk on Saturday from noon until 2PM.
Begin your journey at the Gazebo in Veterans Park (151 E Railroad St, Sandwich). The Chamber will be handing out treat bags and the shops of downtown will be open and handing out treats. Participating shops will have an ORANGE sign on their door. This event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
Get in on Sandwich Park Dist Harvest Moon Hayrides on Saturday, from 6PM – 8PM at a new location this year, Prairie View School 1201 N. Castle St. Sandwich. Enjoy a family night of fall fun. Free hayrides, hot chocolate, cookies and a campfire are provided for free!
For the Halloween Egg Hunt, wear your costume and bring a flashlight and container for your eggs. You will find sweet prizes at the park, in the DARK! Please stay behind the ropes and the flags until the hunt starts. Toddlers will go first and every few minutes we will send the next age group, sending with the oldest children (up to 12 yrs. old). The hunt starts after the last hayride.
This free event goes on right after the Harvest Moon Hayrides, from 8PM until 8:30PM, also at Prairie View School, 1201 N. Castle St.. Admission to this Sandwich Park District event is free!
The Midwest Ghost Society will be hosting a Guided Paranormal Investigation on Saturday evening in the Sandwich Opera House! The Society is a paranormal research and investigation group based out of Plano, Illinois established in 2010. They have been actively investigating as a team since that time. The team investigates using the scientific method of investigation. They will run real evp sessions and demonstrate basic paranormal investigation equipment.
